What To Cook!

Cornwall has bountiful produce and some great farm shops and butchers selling it.   At the house you’ll find a wide variety of cook books covering cuisines from across the world.

Within a few miles of the house you will find  Trevaskis Farm a large farmshop (or farm supermarket given it’s size) fresh veg, fish and meat can be bought here and they are open 8am-8pm everyday!   Particularly well known for their pigs,  if you like bacon you’ll be here everyday.

Etherington’s Farm Shop is another within a couple of miles of the house,  a good selection of produce and great butchers (we’ve had some beautiful lamb from here) they are also praised for their Cornish Pasties.  Checkout their website for events as well,  they run butchery courses and often have chefs come and do cookery courses.

If you are heading into Truro check out the Great Cornish Food store in Waitrose (they are a separate store within the building). Lot of great food,  a deli,  butchers and they do amazing sandwiches

There are countless others that we have yet to fully test (the photo is of one that we recommend if you visit – and you must – the pretty fishing town of St Ives) and we are still exploring ourselves,  we will add to this list for sure…
